Below are two proposals which we are asking Cornwall Council / Kernow Konsel to implement.
ST PIRAN’S DAY MARCH 5TH
The Cornish Nationalist Party has written to the Leader of Cornwall Council requesting that Cornwall Council offer free Car Parking in all the Council run car parks every year on March 5th, St.Piran’s Day.
Many Cornish communities now celebrate St.Piran’s Day and free car parking would be a great way for Cornwall Council to support the local Community and local businesses. Many people come to watch school children taking part in parades and with people in our village and town centres supporting local businesses it will be good for the Cornish economy.
If Cornwall Council supports St.Piran’s Day, they must make each car park free on this day each and every year.
FLYING CELTIC NATIONS FLAGS
The Cornish Nationalist Party has written to the Leader of Cornwall Council requesting that Cornwall Council fly the National flags of all the Celtic Nations inside the grounds of Cornwall Council in Treyew Road, Truro alongside the flag of St.Piran, the National Flag of Cornwall.
Cornwall is a Celtic Nation like Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Isle of Man and Brittany. We want to show the Celtic Community that we are proud of our Celtic identity which we share with them.
We are a Celtic Nation of Britain. (We are a neighbour of England, not a County of England).
If Cornwall Council wants to promote Cornwall’s Celtic identity, they must display these flags.
